2 of 5: Ask her a few times -- you will need to dig fairly deep into the conversation.
3 of 5: Eventually she will give you the key to the hatch in the swamp near the boat.
4 of 5: Head there and open it with the key. You can then speak with Loretta, and bring her back to Mr. Gopesh.
5 of 5: He will then allow you to take the paintbrush from the shelf.
