How can I pass the ordeal of the machine?
1 of 14: The ordeal of the machine is exactly that. An ordeal. This is a tricky puzzle that effectively boils down to a lot of trial and error and shoving various items into various places to see whether they fit.
2 of 14: First off, you should gather all of the items available in the large room, as well as gathering the items available in the hallway atop the golden statue.
3 of 14: You can grab a purple umbrella, a flute, and a cricket bat from the statue. You're going to need them all to solve the puzzle.
4 of 14: You can also find three types of pipe dotted around the distillery -- a rusty pipe, a dented pipe, and a filthy pipe. Pretty similar, but all used in different places.
5 of 14: Your goal is effectively to put the pipes and other items into the various gaps and the connections of the delivery system.
6 of 14: The game doesn't provide clues, so use trial and error until you find the right order.
7 of 14: First off, the filthy pipe needs to be used on the lower connection of the pneumatic delivery system (it's green).
8 of 14: The dented pipe needs to be used on the upper connection of the pneumatic delivery system (also green).
9 of 14: Next off, use the purple parasol on the hole in the conveyor belt on the right of the area.
10 of 14: You're also going to want to place the flute between the two valves at the far left of the area.
11 of 14: That leaves you with the rusty pipe still to use. It goes on the worn valve, which is just to the left of the bent valve, up on the main platform.
12 of 14: Now, you have assembled the machine correctly.
13 of 14: In order to turn it on, use your one remaining item.
14 of 14: Use the cricket bat on the large wheel valve on the main platform.
