How can I replace the elephant's broken tail-light?

  • 1 of 23: This is a fairly obtuse puzzle, and while the solution is logical, it's pretty crazy.
  • 2 of 23: You are going to need to find a source of light, a container for that light, and something to make it look red like a tail-light.
  • 3 of 23: Two of the items are lying around the village and can simply be picked up from the floor.
  • 4 of 23: The item to make it look red can be found in the Punjab Inn hotel.
  • 5 of 23: It has been discarded on the floor of Montgomery's room.
  • 6 of 23: Take the red sock.
  • 7 of 23: The source of light can be found at the other side of town. Head out into the swamp.
  • 8 of 23: If you head up to the screen labeled as the swamp, where the door to the swamp is, you will find a grave next to it.
  • 9 of 23: And, atop that grave, is a burning candle.
  • 10 of 23: Grab it.
  • 11 of 23: Now we need a container for the candle so that it doesn't burn the sock.
  • 12 of 23: A little character exploration is required to get this item.
  • 13 of 23: Speak with Louise once more, and ask her everything you can.
  • 14 of 23: She will give you a jar of her famous jam, which is apparently Shari's favorite.
  • 15 of 23: The jar seems perfect for the container, but it's full of jam!
  • 16 of 23: If someone was going to eat the jam, who would that be?
  • 17 of 23: It's Shari's favorite treat.
  • 18 of 23: Give the jar to Shari and she will eat the jam from inside.
  • 19 of 23: You can now complete your invention.
  • 20 of 23: Add the candle to the jar, then wrap that in the red sock.
  • 21 of 23: A perfect tail-light!
  • 22 of 23: Head back to the elephant and you will see the broken tail-light attached to the wooden frame around him.
  • 23 of 23: Simply swap it with the one you have.
