How can I get past the fence to the airfield?

  • 1 of 24: The fence is electrified. Go ahead, try to climb it. Jack won't be too happy, but try. :)
  • 2 of 24: We're going to first of all find the source of the electricity, and then find a way to remove that source.
  • 3 of 24: The source can be found if you explore the area beyond the stone head.
  • 4 of 24: You will need to have passed the anaconda's den to find it.
  • 5 of 24: When you got the grating to trap the snake, did you notice the monkey in the small hut riding the bicycle?
  • 6 of 24: His pedaling is powering the fence.
  • 7 of 24: So let's find a way to get rid of the ape.
  • 8 of 24: You may have noticed a small bell outside the hut. If you ring that bell (you will need to use either the spade or prod to reach it), the monkey will come outside and check briefly, before returning inside to resume pedaling.
  • 9 of 24: You need to lay a trap for him so that when he comes outside, he will be incapacitated and unable to return to the pedals.
  • 10 of 24: Take a look at the area past the anaconda's den, and past the dense vegetation on the screen beyond.
  • 11 of 24: See that nasty looking man-eating plant?
  • 12 of 24: More importantly, see the bones of monkeys lying all around it?
  • 13 of 24: Seems this plant would probably make short work of the monkey in the hut.
  • 14 of 24: Let's take the plant with us.
  • 15 of 24: Once you have it, take it to the hut and try to place it up on the veranda.
  • 16 of 24: Seems that the plant won't stand upright by itself without being buried in the soil.
  • 17 of 24: Or, if you want to move a plant without removing the soil -- what would you do?
  • 18 of 24: Find a pot to put the plant in.
  • 19 of 24: Once you have the pot, place the plant inside it and throw that up onto the veranda.
  • 20 of 24: You will now need to remove the restraint vine you tied around the plant. Do so with the obvious tool.
  • 21 of 24: Use your knife to cut away the vines.
  • 22 of 24: Now ring the bell using the spade or prod once more, and the monkey will be no more!
  • 23 of 24: You are now free to return to the fence, and since the pedaling has stopped, there is no longer any electrical current pulsing through it.
  • 24 of 24: You can now use the fence to climb over, and end this chapter!
