The Beaten Baker
1 of 9: Talk to Seamstress Lan, who's standing outside near the teahouse, to get this quest.
2 of 9: To find Baker Bei, find the path east of the boathouse that goes down to the beggar's pier area.
3 of 9: Bei and the thugs who are after him will be at the start of that path.
4 of 9: After you finish off the thugs, talk to Bei to learn that Ai Ling, who's holed up in the boathouse, is behind the beatings.
5 of 9: After volunteering to talk to Ai Ling for Bei, tell the guard at the boathouse door that you need to speak to Ai Ling.
6 of 9: Inside, find a bookstand to read in the first room, then move to the large third room to find Ai Ling.
7 of 9: When she says that Bei was supposed to marry her, say that you'll go get Bei so that he and Lan will appear and join the conversation. (Unless you want Closed Fist points, in which case you should threaten and then fight Ai Ling instead of getting Bei.)
8 of 9: You can then gently persuade Ai Ling to see reason to finish the quest and get Open Palm points. (Refuse Lan's offered dowry for more Open Palm points.)
9 of 9: After that's over, you should go around and loot the boathouse.
