2 of 10: Gao interrupts your conversation with a rude challenge, and you're going to have to answer it before you can continue talking to Master Li.
3 of 10: Tell Master Li when you're ready to fight Gao in the ring.
4 of 10: This is going to be the first serious pain-in-the-neck combat in the game, and you'll probably get killed a few times before you can win.
5 of 10: The most important thing to do is dodge his strikes whenever you can.
6 of 10: Even though it drains your focus energy quickly, it's a good idea to switch to your weapon and enter focus mode right at the start of the combat. Get in as many attacks as you can that way to weaken Gao.
7 of 10: When you're forced to revert to a martial style, that's when you need to start some serious dodging.
8 of 10: A good time to move in and hit him with a power attack is when he starts blocking, though sometimes he'll exit the block and strike you before you can finish your power attack.
9 of 10: And don't forget to backflip away from Gao and Chi Heal yourself when necessary. It's also a good idea to keep your distance from him when you're slowed.
10 of 10: When you finally beat him, Master Li will block a cowardly, sorcerous attack he tries on you and then eject him from the school in disgrace.
