Track Down the Fox Spirit

  • 1 of 7: This is the task that you get if you complete the "Enter the Portal" task by choosing to kill the Forest Shadow.
  • 2 of 7: She'll teleport away, leaving you to fight her elephant demon and three fox spirits.
  • 3 of 7: After reading the bookstand in the Forest Shadow's building, go back the way you came, fighting fox spirits as you go.
  • 4 of 7: After you fight three fox spirits at one place, the Forest Shadow will appear and attack. Hopefully, you'll have some focus energy left to use with her.
  • 5 of 7: After she dies, you'll be taken directly to the inn, where you'll get your reward from the innkeeper, including the Mother's Touch technique.
  • 6 of 7: You'll also be given custody of Henpecked Hou, who can teach you the Drunken Master style.
  • 7 of 7: ALTERNATIVE: When you're talking to the innkeeper, you can choose a dialogue option that'll allow you to fight the innkeeper and a bunch of cannibals. You won't get the Mother's Touch technique if you do this, but you will be able to kill the Mother demon as specified in the "Destroy the Mother" task hints.
