Jade Empire Hints
Creative Yukong's Bounty
of 13: You get this quest by talking to Captain Sen, who's next to the city gates that are just SE of your base camp in the Market District.
of 13: Your first lead is Lady Rento in the Imperial Arena.
of 13: The arena entrance is near the NW corner of the Market District, and Lady Rento is in the upper-floor room that's just north of the fight office.
of 13: When you talk to her about Creative Yukong, you'll learn that he was an aspiring actor whom she decided to sponsor, but her husband got mad about it and told the authorities that Yukong was a "confidence man."
of 13: Ask her where Yukong might be to learn that he's probably hiding out in the Scholars' Garden, disguised as a scholar.
of 13: She mentions he isn't really much of a scholar, so go talk to everyone in the Scholars' Garden to see who might be a non-scholar in disguise.
of 13: Also pay attention to their names.
of 13: The guy you want is Scholar Kongyu, near the NW corner of the main gardens section. ("Kongyu" is "Yukong" slightly rearranged.)
of 13: Talk to him about his "studies" until you get the option to accuse him of being Creative Yukong.
of 13: He'll admit it, and will plead with you to help him escape the city.
of 13: Agree to help him do that, and you'll be taken back to Captain Sen.
of 13: You can then choose to tell the captain that Yukong has already left the city (Open Palm), or you can point out Yukong nearby so you can get the bounty (Closed Fist).
of 13: If you want to help him escape, keep insisting that he's already left the city until he finally manages to do so. (The clumsy clod!)
