1 of 5: You'll get this task after you finish "Enter the Fortress" and speak to the Watcher.
2 of 5: Explore the nearby walkway to find a focus shrine, then go down the stairs to the lower floor.
3 of 5: You'll encounter a group of other new recruits, and will have to fight one of them to "prove your worth."
