Jade Empire Hints
Configuration of the Horse
of 13: If you looted a certain scrollstand in Kang's dragonfly workshop in Chapter 2, you'll have this configuration's scroll.
of 13: Also, you can find a duplicate scroll in a chest in the Ministry Hostel building in the Imperial City's Golden Way area.
of 13: Note what the written-down ravings on the scroll mention.
of 13: They first mention a tiger, then a "stone of the cow," and then "all but the cogs."
of 13: There's a tiger button on the large statue to the left of the gazebo. Maybe that's what the scroll means.
of 13: But remember that Kang said that you first select the machines you want to activate before pressing a button.
of 13: You also need to choose a fuel to use in the process.
of 13: That's what the other two clues in the scroll are for. Read them over to see if you can figure it out.
of 13: The phrase "all but the cogs" clearly refers to the various machines strewn about, so go around and activate all of them except for the whirling cogs.
of 13: That includes the water wheel, the clapper chimney, the conductor, and the cranking cauldron.
of 13: Go into the gazebo and find the fuel hopper in one corner.
of 13: The "stone of the cow" phrase refers to a cow bezoar, so choose to load a new fuel into the hopper and then select the cow bezoar.
