2 of 10: After you finish the "Follow Gang to the Chambers Below" task, you'll be able to find the scroll in a scrollstand near Master Gang.
3 of 10: It's in the southern alcove with the Keeper of the Archive.
4 of 10: Checking the scroll in your plot items list, you'll see that it refers to a small stone with medical runes around it, a lightning-enshrouded globe held by a mechanical arm, a pyramid-topped machine belching smoke, a series of large gears, and a series of dragon etchings.
5 of 10: That's awfully wordy, but you should be able to figure out what it means.
6 of 10: The lightning-enshrouded globe would be the conductor, so go activate it.
7 of 10: The smoke-belching machine is undoubtedly the clapper chimney, so activate it, too.
8 of 10: The series of large gears clearly refers to the whirling cogs, so you'll need to also activate them.
9 of 10: As for fuel, the small stone with medical runes around it refers to a cow bezoar, so put one of those in the fuel hopper.
