Jade Empire Hints

Find the Water Dragon's Body

  • 1 of 12: This task starts when you arrive at the palace after finishing the "Return to the Palace" task.
  • 2 of 12: NOTE: You can still talk to Kang about returning to Lord Lao's furnace if you have scrolls for configurations that you haven't used yet.
  • 3 of 12: Move through the large north gate to get to a room with a spirit font and focus shrine.
  • 4 of 12: North of that is the large room with all the stairs that I'm sure you remember from your last visit here.
  • 5 of 12: When you enter that room, you'll be attacked by a bunch of elite assassins.
  • 6 of 12: Use your weapon style and focus mode (and maybe a transformation style) to finish them off fast, then go back to the previous room and use the font and shrine to recharge.
  • 7 of 12: Loot the two urns near the bottom of the stairs before running up them and looting four more urns for lots of silver.
  • 8 of 12: Enter the elevator room north of that to get a cut-scene, after which you'll be lowered to a new floor.
  • 9 of 12: Go through the exit that leads to the area where the Water Dragon's body is imprisoned.
  • 10 of 12: TIP: Save your game here in a regular slot and remember which one it is. You're about to make the choice that determines which of the two major game endings you get. After getting one, you can restore this save and then get the other one.
  • 11 of 12: Move along the path until you come to a large gate that opens for you.
  • 12 of 12: Move on past that to come to a spot where the Water Dragon's spirit speaks to you again, and you have to fight some more elite assassins.
