The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time Hints
How do I solve the final puzzle?
of 14: You are trying to recreate the alien symbol.
of 14: Try clicking on the pyramids to see what happens.
of 14: Clicking on one turns it on or off. Try turning the individual pyramids on and off to see how the center image relates to the image on the pyramids.
of 14: The image in the center of the three pyramids is made from the images of the three pyramids combined.
of 14: There are six "wedges" around the outside of the alien symbol, and there are three triangles on the inside. You need to get all these pieces to turn on.
of 14: If only one of the pyramids shows one of the pieces in the same position, then the same piece is lit in the center.
of 14: If two of the pyramids display the same piece, the two images cancel, and nothing appears in the center.
of 14: If the same piece appears on all three pyramids, the center will also display that piece.
of 14: You can rotate each of the triangles in two different ways. One rotates the image on the pyramid by 120 degrees. The other will move to a different face of the pyramid, which will show a completely different configuration of pieces.
of 14: There are a total of four faces on each pyramid. If you're having trouble finding all four, rotate the face by 120 degrees, and then rotate to find another face.
of 14: Start by concentrating on the lower-right pyramid. You want to find the face with four pieces lit.
of 14: Then, find a face with two pieces lit on each of the other pyramids. The two pieces on each pyramid should be touching along their flat edges.
of 14: Look at the four-piece pyramid again. Three of the four pieces that are lit on this are adjacent to one another -- the fourth is separated from this group. Rotate the other two pyramids so that they both have the piece in this same position lit. When you do this, you should manage to get all six pieces lit, and now you're done with the game.
of 14: If you're still having trouble, this image has one possible solution. The pieces shown in blue should be turned on -- the gray pieces are just given for reference.
