Jewels of the Oracle II -- Gems of Darkness Hints
Runes
of 12: This may be the most difficult puzzle in the game.
of 12: The chief reason is that the puzzle room alone does NOT contain enough information to solve the puzzle.
of 12: Play with the controls (the two on the left, and the two on the right) to see what they do.
of 12: Note the movement of the concentric circles. Note also that the two controls on the right simply reverse the action of the two controls on the left.
of 12: The object is to align certain symbols on the rings. As you do, one of the six elements in the middle will be highlighted. When all six have been highlighted, you will receive a gem.
of 12: Without external information, you CAN solve the puzzle by trial and error. A LOT of trial... and a LOT of error!
of 12: Clues exist in another part of the game to help you determine what symbols to align.
of 12: The clues are in the Maze puzzle on Level 2.
of 12: The clues are not immediately visible in the Maze puzzle. You must locate their "hiding place".
of 12: Click on the bottom of the table containing the maze and a drawer will open. The tokens in the drawer are clues to the Runes puzzle, as well as another puzzle.
of 12: Using the six "triplets" in the tokens, line up the concentric rings so that each of the three "triplets" appears (vertically) at the top of the circles.
of 12: For each one, another of the six inner segments will be highlighted. Highlighting all six results in a gem.
