Jewels of the Oracle II -- Gems of Darkness Hints
Logic "Planning"
1 of 7: Use arrow keys to move the spider; spider pushes balls into hole. Same old same-old.
2 of 7: The spider can push only one ball at a time.
3 of 7: Watch for "traps" that require a puzzle restart. This includes placing a ball in any corner, or along any edge. In some cases, it also includes putting two balls in a row (unless there is another way to move them out of alignment).
4 of 7: Start by clearing the balls closest to the hole. This will provide more "elbow room" for later balls.
5 of 7: Note that the final 14 moves for each ball will be the same. (This is where the tedium sets in.)
6 of 7: Don't go too fast; there is no "undo move" button. If you move one place too far, you can often find yourself in an unrecoverable position.
7 of 7: This is a long puzzle, but not difficult. Take your time, and think ahead before moving a ball to make sure that it will be recoverable later.
