Jewels of the Oracle II -- Gems of Darkness Hints

Inductive Reasoning

  • 1 of 9: Possibly the least intuitive of the 24 puzzles in the game, the object is correct placement of the pieces to the left of the octagon into the various segments of the puzzle.
  • 2 of 9: Pieces cannot be rotated; they must be placed in the same orientation as they appear at the start of the puzzle.
  • 3 of 9: Once a piece is placed, it cannot be moved without restarting the game.  Plan out moves ahead of time.
  • 4 of 9: The Easy and Hard puzzles have different "matching" criteria.
  • 5 of 9: Note the relationship between the shapes -- squares, triangles, circles, semi-circles.
  • 6 of 9: Two triangles make up a square; two semi-circles make up a circle.
  • 7 of 9: Note the initial placement of pieces (i.e., larger pieces -- squares and circles -- go on the inner "ring", while smaller -- triangles and semi-circles -- go on the outer).
  • 8 of 9: For the Easy puzzle, opposing sides use opposite symbols (squares across from circles, triangles across from semi-circles)
  • 9 of 9: The Hard puzzle is a double-mirror: top-to-bottom, and left-to-right.
