Journey to the Center of the Earth Hints
Which one is the unique ball?
1 of 2: Again this depends upon what happened. If equal ... that's easy. If the same ball that was heavy in Trial #2 is still heavy after weighing it a 3rd time ... that's easy to figure out too.
2 of 2: If 9 & 10 are equal, the "odd" ball is the one you did NOT weigh ... 11.
If not equal, the "unique" ball is either 9 or 10 depending upon which one was heavy during the 2nd trial compared to which one is heavy this time.
If 9 in the Left Tray was Heavy in Trial #2, and it is STILL heavier than 10 ... 9 is the odd ball.
If 10 in the Right Tray was Heavy in Trial #2, and is STILL heavier than 9 ... 10 is the odd ball.
