1 of 8: He will never give you permission. The only way is to slip in while he's not looking.
2 of 8: Give him something else to do and he'll walk away, leaving the geyser elevator unguarded so you can sneak in.
3 of 8: Did you notice the water troth and waterwheel in the pit? Looks like a generator of some sort.
