What is the solution to this puzzle?

  • 1 of 7: There are numerous solutions to this puzzle, so yours may end up being completely different than mine.  (If you are having trouble moving or turning the pieces, read "How does this puzzle work?" for an explanation.)

  • 2 of 7: The most obvious position for the square block is at the top center.  This is the easiest place to start.
  • 3 of 7: The two largest pieces will fit only one way.
  • 4 of 7: Put the two large triangles in the bottom corners.  The rest of the pieces fit into the center and can be arranged in many different ways.
  • 5 of 7: For my solution, put the medium-sized triangle underneath the square.  Rest it on the top point of the large triangle that is already placed on the bottom right.
  • 6 of 7: One of the smallest triangles fits underneath the medium triangle, butted up against the large right-side triangle.
  • 7 of 7: Now the last two pieces will fit only one way.
