Keepsake Hints
How can Lydia find a cauldron and bring it to the fire?
1 of 18: There is a cauldron in the basement, in the wine cave area.
2 of 18: Of course, it's quite heavy. Lydia can drag it, but could not carry it up a flight of stairs.
3 of 18: Lydia will not be able to move it out through the basement. There is an easier way. If you haven't explored the wine cave much, this is a good time to do so.
4 of 18: Lydia will first need to get the cauldron to the second level of the wine cave. There is a way for Lydia to get the cauldron up the stairs, without carrying it.
5 of 18: Did you notice the platform to the right of the stairs in the wine cave?
6 of 18: It is actually a lift that could move heavy objects to the upper level of the wine cave.
7 of 18: The controls for the lift are nearby, although not exactly in this room.
8 of 18: Notice the door to the left of the wine cave stairs?
9 of 18: Behind the door is a lever that controls the lift by the stairs. You'll need to use the lever to lower the platform, if you haven't already done so.
10 of 18: Just click on the cauldron and Lydia will drag it onto the platform.
11 of 18: Of course, after the cauldron is on the platform, you'll need to raise the platform (with the cauldron) to the second level.
12 of 18: Use the lever in the room next to the stairs.
13 of 18: At the top of the stairs walk Lydia to the left. In the next room is a mechanism that can help.
14 of 18: At the back of the room and to the right is a dumb-waiter type of lift.
15 of 18: Go into a close-up of it and press the blue button to lower the lift (if you haven't done so already).
16 of 18: Just click on the cauldron and Lydia will automatically drag it onto the lift.
17 of 18: The lift will carry the cauldron up to the kitchen.
