I give up! What is the step-by-step solution?
1 of 11: There are six controls across the top of the mechanism. This solution refers to them as numbers 1 - 6. The left-most control is number 1, the right-most control is number 6.
2 of 11: Before you begin, make sure that both weights are at the bottom (either leave the puzzle and return to reset it, or use both the outer levers). Note: There is more than one possible solution. These hints only provide one of them.
3 of 11: Start by using the left wheel -- control number 2.
4 of 11: Next, use the left inner lever -- control number 3.
5 of 11: Use the left wheel again -- 2.
6 of 11: Lever 3. At this point, the right weight should be at the top, and the left weight should be 2 spaces from the bottom.
