The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine Hints
The Orrery
of 17: After this module is installed, you'll get a "Repairing the Orrery" quest entry when you load a saved game or start a new game and then exit the sewers.
of 17: The journal says to go to Camp Ales, so that would be the place to start.
of 17: The camp is marked on your world map, and is location 4 on the Colovian Highlands map in the main Oblivion hint file.
of 17: After you kill the bandit carrier and whoever else is at the camp, search the carrier to find an undelivered letter and a dwarven cog.
of 17: The letter says where the other four dwarven items you're after are.
of 17: They're all in the possession of bandit carriers at other camps, which are now all marked on your world map.
of 17: Travel to each camp, kill all the bandits, and loot the carriers of their dwarven goods.
of 17: After you get them all, go to the Arcane University in the Imperial City and find Bothiel in the tower lobby.
of 17: Talk to her to hand the dwarven items over and get a leveled gold reward.
of 17: Go do other things for a day or so, and you'll eventually get a journal entry saying that the orrery is now functional.
of 17: Return to the Arcane University's tower lobby and go through the Imperial Orrery door, and then through a dwarven metal door.
of 17: Head up either set of stairs to find the orrery console.
of 17: Use it once to activate the orrery's machinery, then use it again to gain a new greater power.
of 17: Which power you get depends on the current phases of the two moons involved. A display of the moons comes up when you first use the console.
of 17: Once you have one of the orrery's powers, you can keep it as long as you want, and can use it once a day.
of 17: To get another orrery power, use its console again on a day that has a different moon phase. (They change every three days.)
of 17: Below is a list of all of the moon phases and their associated powers.
