The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine Hints

How can I get the Forgemaster's bezoar?

  • 1 of 14: Head back to the Sundercliff Village area and find the entrance to the Sundercliff Forge over on the east side of the upper level.
  • 2 of 14: When you first enter the forge, you'll be on its upper level, unable to reach the exit on the area map that's marked "Forgemaster's Tent."
  • 3 of 14: Make your way to the SE corner of the currently accessible area to find a door to the Sundercliff Mines.
  • 4 of 14: Explore the mines, looking for iron ore to grab and diseased laborers to kill as you go.
  • 5 of 14: Make your way south and east along the lower floor to get to a winding path in the SE part of the area that'll get you up onto the upper level.
  • 6 of 14: Use the narrow stone bridges that connect the upper level areas to reach the NE corner of the upper floor.
  • 7 of 14: Go along the passage there, watching out for cave-ins, until you find the door that leads to the forge's lower level.
  • 8 of 14: You'll have to pass through two of the Forgemaster's apprentices' work areas before you can reach the Forgemaster's work area.
  • 9 of 14: After you kill the Forgemaster, get his valuable magic gear and then enter his tent.
  • 10 of 14: You'll find his bezoar on a table next to some gold coins and gems.
  • 11 of 14: Before you leave, hit the hanging buckets in the three forge rooms with arrows or the Flare spell to knock down some gems and ore.
  • 12 of 14: To avoid having to go all the way back through the mines to get to the forge's upper level, find the passage in the north wall of the Forgemaster's area and follow it along.
  • 13 of 14: When you come to a rock wall with a pull rope next to it, use the rope to lower the wall.
  • 14 of 14: You'll end up right next to the door that leads back to the village area.
