What if I do equip it?
1 of 3: Then you'll have several very bad effects on you that will greatly hinder you in combat.
2 of 3: To remove all of the curse effects, you need to uncurse the sword as detailed in the hints below this question.
3 of 3: Unfortunately, you will have to fight the aurorans in the chapel before you can do the uncursing, but you should be able to manage it if you're careful (and if you use the tip about going outside so the town guards will help).
