The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine Hints
Notes on New Items
1 of 8: On the shelves left of the journal table is the "Treatise on Ayleidic Cities" book that the journal references. You can read through it for a bit more info on the areas ahead.
2 of 8: Also, check the receipt on the bottom shelf to learn where the book was purchased and how badly Drothan was ripped off.
3 of 8: On a shelf near that book are two potions called Trichobezoar Extract, each of which can cure poison and make you immune to poison for 5 seconds.
4 of 8: On the other table in the area are some iron ore samples, a gold nugget, and two Scrolls of Transmutation.
5 of 8: There are several more of those scrolls in the secret closet behind the false wall that's just to the left of the bookshelf.
6 of 8: If you can't pick the closet's lock, come back after you get the key from Drothan later on.
7 of 8: When you use a Scroll of Transmutation, the following conditions are checked in order.
1) If you have a gold nugget, it'll be replaced by 50 gold coins. 2) If you have a silver nugget, it'll be transformed into a gold nugget. 3) If you have a chunk of iron ore, it'll be transformed into a silver nugget. 4) If you have none of the above items, the scroll is wasted.
8 of 8: So you can use the scrolls to transform ore through various stages until it turns into spendable gold.
