The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine Hints
PC Console Tip
1 of 7: If you're playing on the PC, you might want to use a console code to make Mehrunes Razor into a quest item. That'll make it weightless and impossible to drop or sell, so you won't have to worry about losing it.
2 of 7: Bring down the console with ~ and type this command: setquestobject <form#> 1, filling in the razor's form number for <form#>.
3 of 7: It's a leveled item with eight forms, so there are eight different possible form numbers.
4 of 7: If you got it while your character was still level 1, the form number will be 6001AB0. Otherwise, it'll be 6005FB8, 6005FB9, 6005FBA, 6005FBB, 6005FBC, 6005FBD, or 6005FBE.
5 of 7: If those numbers are invalid, try changing the first digit. If 6001AB0 doesn't work, try 5001AB0, 4001AB0, and so on. (This has something to do with the number of DLC modules you have installed and active.)
6 of 7: If you're not sure which form number to use, try them all until you get the right one. Using the wrong ones at first won't hurt anything.
7 of 7: You can always return the razor to its non-quest-item status by using the same command with a 0 for the second parameter instead of a 1.
