The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine Hints

Optimized Wayshrine Pilgrimage

  • 1 of 11: The following hints will give a route that's designed to minimize the amount of time and travel spent on a wayshrine pilgrimage. Wayshrines' locations will be described by referring to markers on the main Oblivion hint file's region maps.
  • 2 of 11: Start by going to the Tiber Septim wayshrine that's a bit SE of Shardrock Farm (location 8 on the West Weald map).
  • 3 of 11: From there, go to the Mara wayshrine that's a bit NW of the Cursed Mine (location 14 on the same map).
  • 4 of 11: Next, visit the Arkay wayshrine that's a bit SE of Fat Rat Camp (location 15).
  • 5 of 11: Then go to the Kynareth wayshrine that's a little NE of Bloodcrust Cavern (location 17).
  • 6 of 11: The final West Weald wayshrine that you'll be visiting is the Akatosh wayshrine that's a ways almost directly south of Collarbone Camp (location 25).
  • 7 of 11: From there, you need to go to Pothole Caverns (location 47 on the Great Forest map), since a Zenithar wayshrine is just north of it.
  • 8 of 11: Next, go north to find a Dibella wayshrine just SE of Fort Virtue (location 51 on the Heartlands map).
  • 9 of 11: Travel to the Imperial City's Chestnut Handy Stables (location 7), then go north a bit to find a Julianos wayshrine near the water.
  • 10 of 11: To conclude your pilgrimage, head directly east to find a Stendarr wayshrine. (It's near the water a ways south of Sideways Cave, which is location 2 on the map.)
  • 11 of 11: NOTE: Doing those wayshrines in that order assumes you're in or near Anvil when you start. If you're closer to the Imperial City, you may want to do them in reverse order.
