General Tips for KQ7
You should try objects in your inventory on other objects that are also in your inventory. You can also look at, and manipulate items you have by using them on the eye icon. KQ7 doesn't let you die without giving you a chance to go on, so you can't be blocked from the ending. (Although some endings are better than others.) These hints based on the Windows version 1.4 release, others may vary.
