That means you didn't manage to hurt Mola Ram the last time he came out; he did his hypnosis number, then bolted out of range before you could get at him. Wait for him to come out again, and this time toggle as soon as you get hypnotize, then jump over your partners to get at Mola Ram. Wale away at him to take his health down, and the ropes will be vulnerable again.
