Which characters should I buy?
1 of 3: You can buy any of them that you just like and can afford, and if you want to get 100% you'll have to buy them all eventually. But you can complete Free Play and get every chest and parcel in the game with just three extra characters.
2 of 3: I usually buy the Bazooka Trooper (Raiders), the Maharajah, and the Thuggee as soon as they become available. This gives me Explode, Disguise, Small, Thuggee, and Sword in one concise and colorful package.
3 of 3: Once you have these three, the game will always give you the Bazooka Trooper and the Maharajah as part of your team in Free Play. You'll have to select the Thuggee or some other Sword guy if you want him, though.
