Climbing Ropes
Getting hold of a rope is easy; it's just a matter of jumping up to catch it. To get off the rope, press the Jump key again.
Once you're hanging onto a rope, you can often use the up and down keys to climb up or slide down the rope. This doesn't always work, though.
You can also sometimes use the right and left keys to swing back and forth, if you want to get a higher loft before you jump off. However, there really isn't any place where you need to do this unless you just like the effect.
