Lego Indiana Jones Hints
How do I get through the gate with no guard post?
of 10: This one is a little more complicated. What you need here is two motors, one for each side of the gate.
of 10: The first one is in pieces to the right of the gate. After you take out the guards (who thankfully aren't infinite in this area, though there are a lot of them), reassemble the motor and drop it in place.
of 10: The second one is hanging high from the tower at the left of the gate. You're going to reach it with a series of jumps from one tower to the next; it's easier for Marion, but Indy can do it too with patience.
of 10: Before you leave, you need to get a key, unless you want to make three trips. It's inside a box under a dig spot at the left; there are shovels inside the boxes to the left as you enter, by the tables with the water coolers.
of 10: Okay, you're ready to start. Have whoever is holding the key jump up onto the left tower, the one with handrails.
of 10: Jump up and grab the rope here to open a trapdoor and release some gears. Use them to rebuild a key mechanism. Turning this key moves a rope hanging between the towers closer to the next tower.
of 10: The problem here is that the rope doesn't stay where you put it, so you need to act quickly to make use of it. If you're doing this with Marion, move the rope as far as possible to the right, then do a double jump to catch it and immediately jump again to go to the middle tower. If you're doing this with Indy, let the rope come back to the middle, then jump to the rope and then the tower.
of 10: In the middle tower, use the key you dug up on the key mechanism to move the next rope. This one stays put, thankfully. Jump and grab it, then jump to the last tower.
of 10: If you're playing as Marion, slide down to the bottom of the rope before you jump or you'll end up hitting the mechanism of the tower and sliding down to the ground. If that happens, Marion can jump up to grab the rope between towers 2 and 3; you don't have to start the whole process over again.
of 10: On the last tower, pull the lever to lower the second motor. Put it in place at the left side of the gate to raise the second bar, and you're ready to leave.
