Lego Indiana Jones Hints
Hieroglyph Panels
1 of 4: Starting in The Well of Souls, you'll come across the occasional wall panel consisting of various Egyptian hieroglyphics. To solve it, you'll either need to find a book around somewhere or have a partner who carries a book, like Henry Jones or Brody.
2 of 4: To decipher a hieroglyph panel, stand in front of it and press the Special key. This makes four of the panels light up; remember the sequence, then reproduce it by moving the cursor around with the arrow keys and pressing the Special key.
3 of 4: You have to be standing in the right place to make this work; look for a spotlight on the ground in front of the panel if your character doesn't seem to get on with it. You also have to have enough light to work. If you have a torch on one side of the panel and an empty spot on the other, fetch a torch to put in that spot to make the panel work.
4 of 4: If you have trouble remembering the pattern, don't panic; you can repeat the process as often as you want until you get it. I find it helpful to say the names of the pictures out loud as they play -- for example, one pattern might be Bug, Arm, Owl, Eye.
