Lego Star Wars Hints
What special skills/abilities are available?
Force -- All the Jedis can use the Force to move objects. Forceable objects are lit with a glow. Some things move, some turn on, and some just explode. Experiment!
Dark Force -- The evil Jedis, the Sith, can use the Force like the good Jedis, but they can also use the Dark Side of the Force. In Lego Star Wars terms, that means there are certain dark or black objects they can Force that the good Jedis can't touch. Look for black flowers and red lights, for example.
Jump -- Almost all the characters can jump, except for the droids. It's hard to jump with wheels.
Double-jump -- The Jedis and some others can also do a gravity-defying double-jump. In the case of the Jedis, this combines with the lightsaber attack to make a very satisfying double-jump-stomp move that can take out almost everybody.
Hyper-jump -- One or two characters have a slightly higher jump than the others. If you need to jump high or wide, these are your guys.
Grapple -- The characters with blasters also carry ascension guns that shoot a line upwards and lift them in the air. This can be done wherever you see a red circle on the ground with a grappling hook overhead.
Hover/Fly -- A couple of guys can leave the ground briefly, though this is less useful than you might think. The only ones who can fly over open space are the astromechs; the others plummet like rocks if you go over the edge of a cliff. Think anti-grav rather than actual flying.
Blend In -- The droids won't be fired on by other droids, in most situations. (But that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be ignored. They may not fire on you, but they might crowd around you and keep you from doing anything useful all the same.) When it works, it can be very handy for getting behind them to do something.
Deactivate Droids -- The two astromechs can zap other droids and put them out of commission for about five seconds. Not too helpful, but the droidekas especially look pretty goofy when they're stunned.
