LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
This is a bit tougher of a fight than I'm used to. How can I survive?
1 of 4: I guess there's no real penalty to dying besides a few studs, so just keep at it, and you'll eventually get it. But if those studs are important to you -- and you can't always collect the ones you lose once you resurrect -- there are a couple things you can try.
2 of 4: First, it might help to get a bit of distance between you and the troopers. While many of the characters' melee attacks are cute, some of them also seem a bit slower to me than a blaster shot. So I sometimes prefer using blasters instead of fighting up close. The downside is that you might not be as close to the hearts that get produced when you destroy some Stormtroopers, but those generally bounce away from you anyway.
3 of 4: Also, if you run back, you can spread the crowd out a bit, which may keep you from dying quite as much.
4 of 4: And if you really need the help, see if you can stand behind your fellow party members and use them as cover. In real life, or even many other action games, that wouldn't work, but there's no penalty to you if they get hit. Then, try jumping up and shooting in the air when you're standing in back. This should let you kill some of the troopers before they get a chance to fire back.
