LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints

What extras are available, and where can I find them?

  • Each of the names of the extras is a link, and clicking on this link will take you to the hints that tell you where it can be found.
: Causes your blasters to do double damage, although many enemies will require just a single hit anyway.  This may still be a bit helpful when facing some of the more powerful enemies.
, Fast Build: These decrease the time it takes to build a stack of bricks (Fast Build) or use the Force on an object (Fast Force).  These help you get through levels just a little more quickly, and might allow you to complete a task while under enemy fire, which might have otherwise been interrupted if you were hit while building at normal speed.
Like Super Blasters, doubles the damage that your lightsabers can do.
: Allows ships to lock onto enemy ships if they get close to you and tow them behind you.
: Keeps you from dying from enemy attacks.  You can still "die" by jumping off walkways when there's no solid ground below, but you won't lose any studs if this happens.
, Score x4, Score x6, Score x8, Score x10; These extras increase your score by the specified amount when you collect studs in Story mode and Free Play mode.  Your doubled (or other multiplied) score does count towards True Jedi status in both Story mode and Free Play mode -- so turn at least one of these on if you want help collecting those statuses and the matching gold bricks.  You can also use the extra studs to help unlock other characters and extras, but realistically, you probably will have finished most levels and collected most or all gold bricks by the time you can earn the highest multipliers.  Multipliers do work together, so turning on Double Score and Score x4 gives you a total multiplier of x8, for example.  Put all of these multipliers together, and you get 3,840 times your regular score.
: Allows any of your droids to self-destruct when you press the "use"/special ability button, causing an explosion similar to a bounty hunter's thermal detonator.  This might help you reach a few extra areas in Story mode, but probably won't be of too much use in Free Play mode, since you can generally switch to a real bounty hunter once you've unlocked one.
: Allows you to regenerate any lost hearts over time.  Not as good as Invincibility, but certainly worth turning on if it's available to you.
: When turned on, this will show you arrows pointing to any nearby minikit canisters.  The arrows will point you in a straight line to the nearest canisters, but won't give you any hints as to how to get there.  For example, if the canister's on the other side of a wall, the arrow may point you through the wall, even though you have to go around it.  You can use the arrows as a general guide, and when arrows start disappearing, you know you've gone too far.  This is certainly very helpful if you just can't find all 10 canisters on a level, since it narrows down your search.  If you need exact directions, though, you may want to read the hints that I've provided for a particular level.
: Turns R2-D2's regular zapper, which normally just stuns robots, into one that can destroy droids and stun non-droids.
: Allows Boba Fett to fire rockets.  These are similar to thermal detonators in damage, but are fired by pressing the "switch character" button, not the normal button for throwing a detonator.
: This one's a little better than the other "Super" weapons, since the Ewok's shots will now explode on contact, giving you something similar to a bounty hunter's thermal detonator.
: This will make sure that your ships are always towing 3 torpedoes.  This can be helpful in the Minikit Bonus levels, since it's one of the few extras you can enable there, and will save you the time it otherwise would take to find and reload at a torpedo dispenser.
