LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
How can I get past the fence on the second screen?
of 16: Immediately after you enter from the first screen, you may notice a fence to your right. You'll eventually be able to open that up in a bit, but the fence I'm talking about in these hints is at the far end of the area.
of 16: Notice that there are some glowing parts in the sand a few steps away from the gate. You may want to go ahead and have Kenobi use his Force to get those out of the sand now.
of 16: But those are only a small part of the solution. Also take a look at the dancing bricks just to the left, and build those.
of 16: A little more to the left against the wall is a door with a control panel for R2-D2. Have him open that, and you'll find some more parts that Obi-Wan can Force. Move them to put them on the ground next to the other two pieces you just built.
of 16: Now go back to the right of the fence and notice a door with a panel for C-3P0 to open. You'll need to get him up that one little step, though.
of 16: Shoot the crate holding a shiny blue stud, and you'll get the pieces to build a ramp for C-3P0, so that he can open the door with his access panel.
of 16: You can now switch to a human and build the stacks of bricks behind the door -- which will form a box with a gun on it.
of 16: You still need to look around to finish finding all the parts you need.
of 16: Look at the trash cans to the left of the door that C-3P0 just opened. Shoot both of those, and you can build two more sets of pieces.
of 16: And Obi-Wan can move those onto the sand with his Force. Those will form the base of what you're trying to build.
of 16: Now it's just a matter of moving all of the pieces together.
of 16: There are two legs to the left of the base, so Force those over, then Force over the platform that was in between the legs.
of 16: Now Force over the gun turret, and you'll have a working AT-ST. But a Stormtrooper will hop in there before you can use it.
of 16: That's okay. Just hit the AT-ST a few times, and the Stormtrooper will have to jump out.
of 16: Or, if you'd prefer, Obi-Wan may also be able to use the Force to confuse the Stormtrooper into jumping out. However, I found that you often have to get so close to the AT-ST that you risk getting stepped on. Having Luke shoot with blasters from a distance was a little slower but also a little safer from my experience.
of 16: Once the Stormtrooper is out, you can jump into the AT-ST, and then shoot out either of the fences on this screen. (Use the same button for switching characters to get into the AT-ST -- consult your manual if you don't know which one that is by now.)
