LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints

Canisters

  • 1 of 20: Most of these canisters can be found only in Free Play.  I will indicate specifically where canisters may also be available in Story mode.
  • 2 of 20: 1) Before you cross over the gap at the very start of the level, look to the right.  There are several shiny metal cylinders on the far right side of the gap.
  • 3 of 20: You may need to float across the gap as R2-D2 before you can reach the cylinders, but once you're there, a bounty hunter can throw thermal detonators against the cylinders.
  • 4 of 20: Go to the end of this area, where you can use the Force to raise some bricks in front of a fence.  Jump on the bricks after raising them, and you should be able to see a canister on a ledge in the distance (past a few Tuskan raiders).  Float over there to claim the canister.
  • 5 of 20: 2) Go back to cross over that gap as you did in Story mode, and you should see a pair of double doors that can be exploded with the Dark Force.
  • 6 of 20: Once you're on the other side of that door, use the Force to build some mines that explode, creating holes in the wall.
  • 7 of 20: You can then jump into the lowest hole, and from there, jump one more time to reach the canister.
  • 8 of 20: 3) Go back outside that Dark Force area, and you may be able to see a canister in a "basement" to your left.
  • 9 of 20: 4) Behind a forcefield on one side of the sandcrawler before you enter.
  • 10 of 20: 5 -- Also in Story) In the room where you find R2-D2, there is a canister behind bars on the right side of the room.
  • 11 of 20: Liberate the canister the same way you freed R2.
  • 12 of 20: Pull the switch to get a battery, and then push it into the slot in front of the canister.  This will blow open the cage, so you can reach the canister.
  • 13 of 20: 6) You can see this canister on the far side of a fence when you're rescuing C-3P0.
  • 14 of 20: 7 -- Also in Story) After you're out of the sandcrawler and in the area where you have to drain the water, look to the right, where you can build a grappling pad.
  • 15 of 20: Also use the Force to move the hook up to the upper level.  This allows you to use the pad to reach a ledge with the canister.
  • 16 of 20: 8) When you reach the area where you have to drain the water, after exiting the sandcrawler, look to your left for some scaffolding that can be activated by the Dark Force.
  • 17 of 20: 9) You should see this canister in a niche just below ground level on the far side of a gap that you crossed with a bridge made of bricks.
  • 18 of 20: 10 -- Also in Story) In the back of the lake just before the end of the level.
  • 19 of 20: You should see a grappling pad that you can build.  Build it and then swing up to one of the rocks in the distance.
  • 20 of 20: From there, float to another rock that's in plain sight and has the canister.
