LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
How do I get the 1,000,000 studs in LEGO City?
1 of 9: You'll pretty much need to do everything that there is to be done here -- the total number of studs available is just slightly over 1,000,000, and you can't turn on extras, so don't count on score multipliers to make your job easier. You can switch characters just like you would in Free Play and other bonus levels, Also, studs automatically get picked up when you free them, so there's no need to worry about running for a flashing stud before it vanishes in this level.
2 of 9: As a general rule, use the Force on anything that you can use the Force on. Then, if something can be shot, shoot it or take a stab at it with your lightsaber. That includes most of the houses. You can at least use the Force on their windows and doors. You can even destroy a few of the buildings outright, either with the Force or with weapons. And don't forget about your thermal detonators.
3 of 9: Many vehicles -- some of which you'll have to build yourself after destroying the buildings -- will cause blue studs to appear when you're driving/riding them. Hop on anything that can be driven or ridden, and look on the streets for extra studs. You need to remain in the vehicle to pick up these studs, as they vanish again as soon as you leave the vehicle.
4 of 9: Beyond that, there are a few tricks that may help you get to the million. For one, notice the set of large red, green, yellow, and blue bricks in the upper-right corner of the area, just underneath where an AT-ST was at the start of the level.
6 of 9: There's another tricky area in the upper left corner of the area.
7 of 9: Start by destroying all of the trees in that area, but keep walking around.
8 of 9: Walk over that whole area, stepping on as much of the ground as you can. Blue flowers will pop out of the ground as a result. You'll get a stud bonus after you've found the last of the flowers.
9 of 9: If that doesn't get you the 1,000,000 studs, you may want to take a slight break and try again -- either just putting your game on pause or exiting and starting the level again. You can miss only a very few studs and still get to the million mark, so it's important to be extremely careful to open every window, shoot every last plant, and build every last flower -- in addition to doing the big things mentioned above.
And if all else fails, keep in mind that getting the 1,000,000 does not earn you a gold brick, just some studs back in the "real world" as a bonus.
