LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
How can I destroy the larger AT-AT walkers?
1 of 7: These can't just be shot up with a ship's guns like the smaller vehicles on this level.
2 of 7: Instead, you're going to have to find another way to trip them up. Literally.
3 of 7: You can use your ship's tow cable to grab onto them. (The tow cable launches with the same button that you use to launch a blaster's grappling cable.)
4 of 7: Then -- without releasing the cable -- continue to fly circles around the AT-AT in the same direction until it can't walk any more and instead crashes back to the ground.
5 of 7: Now's when you can destroy the AT-AT once and for all.
6 of 7: You'll need a rollermine, which should be available from a nearby dispenser. Grab it and tow it with your handy tow cable into the AT-AT, which will then explode. (See the hints for individual screens if you need help locating the nearest rollermine dispenser.)
7 of 7: I found that it usually was easier to get the rollermine heading in the right general direction and then release it from a slight distance, so that it rolled into the AT-AT on its own for that last little bit. You could try towing the mine directly into the AT-AT, but your ship can't fly over the AT-AT -- even when it's down -- so you have to be a little more careful in turning to make the mine hit. Releasing the towing cable was generally easier for me.
