LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints

How do I get to the platform on the left of the room?

  • 1 of 8: Turn to your right as you're coming from the hallway (towards the back of the screen) and notice the switch along the wall here.
  • 2 of 8: Pulling the switch will move the grappling hook that you can see in a slot in the wall.  Each pull puts the hook in a different place, and makes an appropriate circle appear in the floor.  Your first goal is to use that hook to get you over to the high platform on the left side of the room.
  • 3 of 8: You might stop after two pulls to get up to some extra studs, but the third and final pull will put the hook where you really need it.  (One grappling circle on the right side of ground level is always in place to bring you back up to the entrance if you should fall down.)
  • 4 of 8: But even when you pull the hook a third time, you'll still be a little short of the platform on the left side of the room.
  • 5 of 8: Something at ground level will take care of this.
  • 6 of 8: Look at the slidable blue and gray object in the area underneath the platform, and slide it all the way over to the red flashing light.
  • 7 of 8: You may need to first slide it along the wall before you'll have room to get behind it and push it to the light, but once you do that, you should be able to use the red and green lever next to the object's final resting place.
  • 8 of 8: The lever will raise the blue part of the object almost all the way up to the platform above.  Now when you go back to that grappling circle by the entrance, you should land on this blue area, and be a short jump away from the walkway here.
