How do I get through these asteroid fields?
1 of 11: Once you've destroyed the destroyers' cannons, you'll be on several screens with asteroid fields.
2 of 11: There are a few "normal" asteroids, but you should notice that many of them have colored targets on them.
3 of 11: You can shoot any of the asteroids marked in blue. Once you've done this, you should see bricks inside. Shoot those bricks, and you'll get goodies -- torpedoes, studs, or hearts.
4 of 11: There are also asteroids with purple targets -- usually in clusters forming walls along your path. The torpedoes will help you destroy those "purple" asteroids.
5 of 11: The first screen of asteroids will have a set of 4 purple targets on them at the far end. Just release the torpedoes on these targets until you've destroyed all 4. Then, the big rock wall will collapse, so you can continue onto the next screen.
6 of 11: The blue asteroids regenerate themselves fairly quickly, so you can always go back and shoot more if you need more torpedoes.
7 of 11: Once you're past that first wall, you should be on a screen fairly similar to the first. This second screen has two sets of purple targets, one after the other, but the idea is the same. Shoot out both walls with your torpedoes, one after the other.
8 of 11: The third and final asteroid screen is a little bit trickier, because the targets are on a giant asteroid that's spinning around.
9 of 11: The targets on the spinning asteroid work just like the stationary ones you've just seen -- al you need to do is hit them with your torpedoes. Again, you can always get more torpedoes from the nearby blue asteroids.
10 of 11: It does help a bit if you wait for the purple arrows around the targets -- you can't always hit the targets when they're coming just into view or about to go out of view. Those purple arrows are a pretty good indicator that the target's in range.
11 of 11: Destroy all 6 targets on the spinning asteroid, and that, too, will explode. Fly through the opening and you'll be done with this level.
