LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
The droids are trapped in cages. How can I free them?
of 11: As you're first entering this room, look to the right, and you'll see several switches underneath giant cylinders.
of 11: Pull the switches, and they will dispense bricks that you can build.
of 11: The "front" switch gives you solid green circles, and the "back" switch gives you pieces of open white circles.
of 11: Build those green circles, and then the white pieces on top of those, and you'll get buttons on the floor that you can stand on, each with arrows pointing in different directions.
of 11: Those arrows are meant to control something -- something which you might not have built yet.
of 11: Look on the left wall, and you may see some pieces that Luke can use the Force on, if he hasn't already done so already. Use the Force to put them on the ground, and you get the pieces for a floating box pallet that you can build.
of 11: Standing on an arrow now moves the pallet in the direction that the arrow is pointing, at least within the blue lines on the floor that indicate how far the box can slide.
of 11: The pallet won't slide all the way under the cages holding either of the two droids, but it will get you close enough.
of 11: Or at least one member of your party close enough.
of 11: If the pallet is as close as it will get to either droid, have Luke hop on top and then double-jump toward the cage. The top of the cage is open, and once Luke double-jumps inside, his extra weight will bring the droid down to the floor.
of 11: Repeat this for both C-3P0 and R2-D2, and then have them use their respective control panels to open the door and move into the next hallway. One more lock for R2-D2 at the top of the stairs will take you to the next scene.
