LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
Canisters
of 22: Most of these canisters can be found only in Free Play. I will indicate specifically where canisters may also be available in Story mode.
of 22: 1 -- Also in Story) In a niche to the left as you're facing Palpatine in the first fight.
of 22: You may need to use the Force to raise a platform just below the niche, so that you can then jump into the niche. The canister is in plain sight, though.
of 22: 2) In the same area -- where the first fight took place -- go down to the stairs and look to your right. There are several shiny metal crates here.
of 22: Use a thermal detonator on them, and you can build a grappling pad. Ride that up to a ledge, where you will find a canister.
of 22: 3) The central core of this level has several shiny metal wall segments on it. Use a thermal detonator on both of them -- the canister is behind one of those two bits of wall.
of 22: 4) Around the central core, there should be a door for a bounty hunter to unlock.
of 22: Unlock that door, and you get the pieces to build a control panel that C-3P0 can operate on the outer edge. Do so, and C-3P0 can extend a bridge to a small room off to the side. The bricks to build a canister are right there as you enter the room.
of 22: 5 -- Also in Story) When you're up on the upper level during the second stage of the fight with the Emperor, the one with the electrified floor tiles.
of 22: Quickly use the Dark Force on each of the 10 white rectangles on the back wall. This will open a niche in the center of the wall and let you claim the canister there.
of 22: 6 -- Also in Story) In the same room as the second fight, in a side room on the lower level. Several red Imperial guards will come out through a door down here.
of 22: Go back through that door, and in the center of this smaller room are 12 squares around a hole. The squares will light up slightly as you step on them. Step on all 12 quickly enough -- before the lights go out -- and the canister will appear above the hole. Jump to get it.
of 22: 7) While in the same area as the second fight, you should see a canister on a high ledge -- higher than "ground level" but below the full upper level where part of the fight occurs
of 22: As you enter that room, you can get one canister from a fan that's just to the right of the main doors. The canister should be clearly visible behind the fan.
of 22: Have Vader use the Dark Force on the grate in front of the fan and you will reveal a shiny metal fan blade behind that.
of 22: A thermal detonator destroys those blades, giving you clear access to the canister behind them.
of 22: 9) You can see a second canister behind a long glass window in the middle of the same room.
of 22: There should be a platform off to your left at the top of the elevator. If not, a panel that C-3P0 can control will put the platform in place -- you may need to assemble that switch first.
of 22: Now, just go to the end of that platform and flip the switch there. The glass retracts, giving you access to the canister via a double-jump.
