LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints

Canisters

  • 1 of 21: Most of these canisters can be found only in Free Play.  I will indicate specifically where canisters may also be available in Story mode.
  • 2 of 21: 1) In the Stormtrooper-only area just to your right at the start of the level.
  • 3 of 21: Use the Force to turn on both handles on both showers.  A canister appears in the tub on the other side of the room.
  • 4 of 21: 2) Underneath a Dark-Force grate on the opening screen.
  • 5 of 21: Climb a set of stairs about halfway along the right-hand wall (between where you first appear and the door that leads to the next screen).  Vader can use his Force here on a grate in the ground, then fall down through the hole to find the canister.
  • 6 of 21: 3) Find 3 carrots on the first screens of the level
  • 7 of 21: Once you have all three carrots, the canister appears high in the sky in an area between two bridges.
  • 8 of 21: 4 -- Also in Story) In an area a bit to your right as you're entering the second screen, look on the roof to the left and above a giant fence.
  • 9 of 21: You can reach this area by getting near it from an AT-ST and jumping off again, or in Free Play mode, via a Stormtrooper-only door at the end of the first screen.  (Hovering as R2-D2 gets you across the gap if you take the latter path.)
  • 10 of 21: There are two sets of bricks that you can use to build laser cannons.  Build these, then hop on one to see some rats running on the roof.  Shoot 10 rats, and a canister appears.
  • 11 of 21: 5 -- Also in Story) You can stack several crates on the right side of the second screen, just to the right of where you build the AT-ST.
  • 12 of 21: Jump on top of these crates and over to a ledge where the canister can be found.
  • 13 of 21: 6) On top of a large, tilted silo on the second screen.
  • 14 of 21: 7) Behind a forcefield in Mos Eisley cantina (the one in this level, not the one where you start the game).
  • 15 of 21: Look for an access hatch in the alcove to the left.  Pick a small character that can crawl through the hatch to get behind the forcefield and claim the canister.
  • 16 of 21: 8) By collecting 3 of 3 turnips in trash cans.
  • 17 of 21: The canister will appear on a ledge back on the previous screen, to the left of the large brick-sliding area.  Double-jumping several times should get you up to the canister.
  • 18 of 21: 9) Look behind a bounty hunter's door you'll see just after leaving the cantina.
  • 19 of 21: Go through the door, and look at the top of that next screen.  You'll see the canister behind barred doors.
  • 20 of 21: Use the Force on the octagons above the doors and they will open, so you can claim the canister.
  • 21 of 21: 10) Inside the LEGO Star Wars theater.  Use R2-D2 to open the door.
