LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
Now that I'm on a speeder, what am I supposed to do?
1 of 6: You'll see several Stormtroopers on speeders fly past you. And you'll also see several pictures/icons of speeders at the bottom of the screen, indicating how many Stormtrooper speeders you need to shoot.
2 of 6: The first time you're riding a speeder, you'll see 2 icons, to be precise -- for 2 Stormtroopers you have to shoot. You'll fly the speeders several times, and the number of icons shown at the bottom of the screen will increase each additional time you're flying, but your basic goal is always the same -- shoot down as many speeders as the game tells you to.
3 of 6: If you push your controls as far forward as they go, you'll generally catch up to the Stormtroopers. Sometimes, they'll loop back to keep you from shooting them, but you can do the same to get back behind them. That is, while you're pushing forward, press the jump key, and your own speeder will do the same and loop back a bit.
4 of 6: It will take several hits to destroy each speeder, but just keep going until the speeders stop flying. You may also find that the speeders come in pairs. For example, you may see that you have to destroy 4, but only 2 will actually be flying at a time. Shoot down those 2, and the next 2 reinforcements will come.
5 of 6: This entire level is one giant circular track, and you'll keep going over that same track throughout the level. So don't worry too much about picking up canisters or shooting out plants for studs right away. You'll have several chances to get what you need in the same level.
6 of 6: Every time you destroy the appropriate number of speeders, you'll be stopped by a forcefield and will have to play a short segment again on foot.
