LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
I'm now at ground level, but how do I open the gate down here?
of 10: If you look to the right of where the elevator takes you, you should see a closed gate up on a plateau above you.
of 10: There's also a convenient switch right next to the gate, only it, like the gate, is out of reach.
of 10: There's also a ramp that's currently down at ground level below the switch and gate. If you could raise that, you could probably get up to that switch.
of 10: Look a little closer to the elevator, where you'll see two access hatches in the tree.
of 10: The problem is that the both hatches are out of reach -- the bottom one seems to be a bit above some kind of lift platform.
of 10: But you can build the controls to the elevator.
of 10: Shoot out the plants just in front of the hatch, and they'll reveal the bricks to make a red and green lever.
of 10: Push the lever all the way around until the platform goes as high as it can. You don't need to have Wicket standing on the platform while you do this -- the platform, even at its highest, is still within jumping range.
of 10: Have Wicket jump onto that raised platform, and then send him through the hatch. Once he's at the top level, notice the flashing button on the floor.
of 10: Standing on it activates a temporary grappling circle that one of the other characters will automatically use to get up to that plateau. From there, they'll flip the switch to raise the ramp and open the gate, allowing your party to continue.
