LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
How do I turn off the purple lights?
of 10: You'll need to go through the door to the left into the next section. (Just shoot the door as you did to get in here, and it will open eventually.)
of 10: If you look high up on the wall in the middle of the room, you should see a purple switch behind a purple forcefield.
of 10: You'll need to find a way to get up to that ledge, though.
of 10: There are several buttons in this room that extend stairs up to that ledge. They may be hidden behind other objects.
of 10: Specifically, try shooting out some of the roundish crates along the walls. Some of those are hiding buttons that you can step on -- for a total of 3 buttons.
of 10: Step on each of these buttons to extend a platform that lets you get up to the upper level.
of 10: At least this lets one of the humans get up there -- the control panel for the forcefield requires C-3P0, and he can't climb stairs like these.
of 10: But you may notice a sliding floor section just at the top of the stairs, and with nothing obvious to slide there.
of 10: So have a character with a blaster go up the stairs and shoot out the walls. Behind the back wall is a sliding block, and the place to put it is behind the wall to the left.
of 10: Once the block's in place, the stairs will turn into a ramp. C-3P0 can then activate the control panel to lower the forcefield, and any of the non-droid characters can pull the switch to disable the purple lights back in the control room.
