Which pipes should I turn, and in what directions?
1 of 7: Let's not make this puzzle harder than it is. These are just simple valves, similar to water spigots at your house, but more of them!
2 of 7: Notice the goldish tabs on the pipes. I think those are supposed to be little windows to show the level of the water. When they are gold, the water is on. When they turn silver, the water is off.
3 of 7: Two of those wheels must be turned in one direction and another two the other.
4 of 7: It helps to know that you don't need to touch the bottom row of wheels at all -- UNLESS they are pointed in different directions. If that is so, turn them all so the middle stem is vertical.
5 of 7: On the top row, turn the upper left 2 wheels all the way to the left.
6 of 7: Also on the top row, turn the upper right 2 wheels all the way to the right.
7 of 7: The tabs will turn silver and you'll get a confirming message.
