Law & Order 3: Justice is Served Hints

How do I question people?

  • 1 of 4: In the detective section, if you can't tell what question you should ask, avoid those with a yes/no answer. If you ask a question and get a one-word answer, it was probably not the question the game wanted you to ask. You get two chances to ask the right question, after which it disappears from the choices; so if you see a question pop up twice in a row, consider it carefully.
  • 2 of 4: Also, be aware that you can show people and things from inventory to the people you're questioning to get their response. When you get to the end of the questions, open your inventory and drag items onto the picture of the person to get their reaction.
  • 3 of 4: In the lawyer section, asking questions is more of a challenge, since asking the wrong question during a trial will spur the defense attorney to object, and then you're in for it. (But for all the judge's threats about citing you for contempt and so on, all this really does is lower your final score. It doesn't seem to have any other effect.)
  • 4 of 4: For details on the kinds of questions you can ask in court, check out the computer in the District Attorney's office, especially the section on "Questioning Witnesses in Court." This includes all the grounds for objection (like leading the witness) and gives examples of each one.
